Lacrimosa is now open again, all former characters and threads have been deleted. The site has been fast forwarded ten years and many things have changed. You can read up on the history of Lacrimosa (IC history) in the Plot board.
Lacrimosa, due to inactivity, is going to be going into matinence mode while the admin makes some changes and updates to try and increase activity. Thanks for your patience, Lacrimosa will be up and running again ASAP. Several royal positions will also be available upon re-opening due to inactivity. NOTE. All characters and threads will be deleted and the site will basicly be starting over.

b i o g r a p h i e s This is where you will create your characters, please only one thread per member. Not only is this where you create your characters, but where you store all of your characters information as well. So feel free to get creative -winks- You do not need to be accepted to role play, but please if a staff makes a note about something in your bios, hold off role playing until it's fixed and the staff give you the ok, just for the sake of being organized.
p l o t l i n e s Want to get a mini-plot going for your character? Then feel free to make a post here with your ideas! We greatly encourage mini-plots here, it's a great way for everyone to get to know each other, and is good for activity as well. Also, should any site wide plots be formed by the staff, this is where they will be posted. If you have suggestions for large plots, or want permission to form large plots, please pm the admin with your ideas.

It is within the borders of this land that those who feel they have been forgotten or rejected come to seek a new home, a new life, a new love. blue LAKE Located near the center of the island is a large lake with an astonishingly calm and reflective surface, it is here where the sun always shines, no matter the weather around the rest of the island, the lake, Blue Lake as it's called, some how manages to stay bright and welcoming. It is here, within the placid borders of Blue Lake where horses come to breed and foal.
Note: Please do not role play out the breeding or birth, just post the stats of the mare and stallion, and a staff member will get stats for your foal as soon as breeding season ends, and foaling season comes along. Make sure to only post up parents stats during breeding season. Thanks.

caves of GLOOM Located near the shore of the island one can find a string of caves ranging in all sizes. For centuries, ever since Lacrimosa was first founded, it was within the secluded walls of these caves that horses of all sizes and ages fought for what they believed in, for what they thought was right. The little evidence that there has been fighting in these lands however, is the few bones that survive the waters that surge in during high tide, it would be dangerous to any pair of battling horses to be caught in the deadly rush of water. More often then not, competitors and challengers die due to the waters, not their injuries. And no matter how many times blood will cover the floors and walls of these caves, when one comes back the next day, all evidence that a battle has been fought will have been washed away, ready for a new battle.

free LANDS (3 sub-boards) There is are places within the island, where all five alliances can come together in a manner in which they can all tolerate each other, these lands are sacred to the alliances, for they have stayed as an image of peace for them for years, who knows what could happen should fighting break out in these lands and blood of one alliance spills blood upon another alliances in these lands. It would not be advised of course, to tempt the traditions of the island, thus, one can always enter without fear, knowing they will not get attacked the second they step foot into these lands...or will they?

the :: WHITES (4 sub-boards) the lands of the white's are not what they may at first appear to be. The first few feet past their border, and you pass through a dense thicket of old oak trees, with brown leaves and mossy bark. And then, as if out of no where a solid wall appears before you. A cliff face. You wander along, trying to find a way through but see nothing. Where are you? And that is when a voice calls out to you, soft and clear. "You seek a way into the Eden?" it says. You nod, all you want is somewhere you can live in peace. A figure steps out of the shadows, a pale old horse. "The way you seek is right before you, press your hide against the rock, and the door shall be revealed. " he says, and slides back into the darkness. Press against the rock? You wonder. Why should you, it's not as if you can simply move the mountain. But with nothing better to do, you lean casualy against the mountainside. To you surprise, a large slab of the rock slides away, revealing a passageway with a small speck of light at the far end. Shocked and excited, you now know why the Whites has been so well protected over the years. You walk through the passagway, and come out into a low, bowl like valley. A large lake in the center is surrounded by dark green grass with small, delicate yellow flowers growing. The sound of hoofbeats and nickers fills the air. The home of the Whites, a save haven at last.

the :: BLACKS (4 sub-boards) So perhaps you have heard about the sinners of Lacrimosa. If you have come to find them, consider yourself warned for they aren't ones for warm greetings; the scattered bones at the entryway might have mentioned that. You first come across an arch made of a pearly stone, posing as an entryway. Once you cross its threshold, there is no turning back honey. The moment you step underneath it you feel taken over (because you have been). You are plunging into an eerie forest with streams that seem to criss cross in every direction without any rhyme or reason. The forecast almost always calls for rain, and even when the sun is reigning in the skies, little sunshine manages to creep through the thick canopies above. But don't let that depress you. The Blacks, as you might well know, are an active bunch. You'll want to engage in their activities, and continue the mission to become the feared and sinful of Lacrimosa. Don't let your new alliance down, for doing so comes with dire consequences. You're in the jungle now; don't say I didn't warn you.

c r e a t i v i t y c o r n e r (1 sub-board) In the Creativity Corner, you'll find studios of various artists on the site, where you can go if you want a full image of your character, a picture header, or maybe just a simple word header for your character. If you apply to have an image done at a studio, be sure to thank the artist when you're done. Don't know who you want to do your image? That's all right, because if you just post a thread saying you'd like an image done, someone may come and take it up. But what if you want to make images for the site? Then apply to be a personalizer! You can also find a board here were you can post your poems and stories for all to read.
